Diligence alters outcomes.

Being forced to work, and forced to do your best, will breed in you temperance and self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and content, and a hundred virtues which the idle will never know.

Charles Kingsley

Anything that I dedicate my time to deserves to be carried out well. When I commit to acting diligently, I always get positive results.

I take a lot of care in carrying out my responsibilities in my new job. Although I face a tough learning process, I am committed to doing it well. Each task gets my utmost attention and I carefully do things one step at a time.

Taking this approach ensures accuracy and high quality. My employers get good results from me because I focus on thoroughness instead of speed.

Working slowly in the beginning has its benefits. It prevents confusion and gets me to a point of clear understanding. Once I am sure of the approach to take, I steadily increase my efficiency and my output.

Being conscientious also pays off in relation to my health. I work hard to take care of my body and protect it.

Preparing my meals involves checking each ingredient that I use. Doing this ensures that I feed my body with beneficial nutrients and avoid harmful properties. My body and mind perform well when I am careful with my diet.

Each activity that I commit my time and mental resources to is successful when I think things through. My mind is a valuable resource that dictates the direction of my projects.

Today, working hard and working smart go hand in hand. I am diligent because I know that doing so increase my chances of doing well in life. I anticipate only good results because I put in what it takes to produce them.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. In what ways do I ensure diligence in maintaining personal relationships?
2. How do I respond when I realize that a situation is out of my control?
3. What other character traits make me a successful person?
